Recently I held a contest to select the the name for a female character in the fourth book, Mine to Have, of the Ackerman Security Consultants series. Names poured in through the posts, email, and PM's. I narrowed it down to a select few and then shortened the list even more. Nearly every name that came in held my attention, so it was hard to choose just one.

When the list was down to five names, I carefully played the names over in my mind. Two stood out. There was no way for me to remove one or the other from the list, so I decided to combine the two suggestions into one name.

Carolyn gave me the suggested name of Riley. Tammy Jo sent in Stormy. I rolled them over my tongue many times and then it hit me... First and last name. I altered the spelling a bit, but went with Ryley Storm. Although, Tepish has his own endearment for the woman, but that will come later when the book comes out.

Carolyn and Tammy Jo will each receive an autographed copy of the book, once it's released and they also will have a cameo appearance in the book. I already know what roles they will have. :-) Congratulations to you both!
